Our Sensors Division in Gilbert, AZ is looking for a Temporary Senior Buyer (6 Months) to join their team! Responsible for tracking and expediting a variety of complex or technical supplies or services. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability.Location:

Gilbert, AZWe Take Care of Our PeoplePaid Time Off | 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing | Health and Wellness Benefits | Learning and Development Opportunities | Referral Program | Competitive Pay | Recognition | Employee Stock Purchase Plan | Inclusive & Supportive CultureContact vendors to get updated shipping information and update corresponding purchase order dates.Work with A/P group to resolve any invoice issues.Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.Conduct supplier site visits and rate them as to production capability, performance, and delivery.Communicate with the Production Planning Department on the status of Purchase Orders and deliveries.Verify supplier reported progress and ability to meet its delivery obligations.What you bringBachelor’s degree in supply chain or business management preferred.Experience with MS Office and other applicable SC systems.Good oral and written communication and math skills.Knowledge of engineering drawings, purchasing techniques, and understanding the make/buy process and cost structure.Must be able to perform price and cost analysis.PMAC certification preferred, formal training in negotiation, or other ISM / APICS certification.Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean preferred.Compliance StatementThis position may require exposure to export-controlled information and subject to additional security screening.
