Procurement Specialist - Non-Trade

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:To ensure that commercial and business relationships and engagements with suppliers are handled according to policies, commercials, risks, and procurement area related best practices for several non-trade categories. This role leads the development and execution of procurement strategies in alignment with senior management (procurement and finance) business partners, as well as the global category management team (where applicable). This role is also responsible for maximizing profitability and compliance within the procurement department by managing the sourcing process for all materials and services.Key Responsibilities:Support development and implementation of Non-Trade Procurement (NTP) procurement strategies in alignment with senior management and relevant business partners.Build business relationships and effectively partner with relevant stakeholders and the supplier base.Drive and support the creation, internal adoption, and implementation of sourcing and supplier strategies, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, standards, and guidelines.Support procurement department with all related procurement activities, e.g., reporting, systems updates, supplier negotiations, and stakeholder management.Develop, maintain, and manage the non-trade supplier rosters in collaboration with key stakeholders.Support and lead supplier vetting, RF(x), negotiation, and agency selection processes, negotiating contracts and purchase orders within the organization’s policy.Assist procurement colleagues in supplier negotiation preparation and research to maximize opportunities for best financial and operational outcomes.Lead and participate in cross-functional teams in defined procurement and development projects, supporting other team members.Drive supplier selection processes in alignment with business partners and negotiate contracts, including dispute resolution and vendor qualification.Ensure transparency of spend and drive optimization of efficiencies in collaboration with the Finance function and stakeholders.Assist and liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to troubleshoot finance-related issues and resolve accounts payable issues.Compile and build reports highlighting supplier usage and spend levels across categories and departments.Continuously learn and develop procurement knowledge and methodologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement.Contribute to the capabilities and growth of the Procurement organization.Act as an ambassador of procurement within the organization.Drive procurement reporting, analytics, and tactical day-to-day duties to ensure data integrity and business readiness.Key Relationships:External: Suppliers & Agencies: Executives, Key Account Managers & Legal Counsel.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of sourcing, procurement, and supply-chain methodologies and concepts.Knowledge of supply base within the non-trade landscape and availability of products/services.Knowledge of brand strategy and application in procurement activities.Proven ability to collaborate and drive category strategy.Ability to support and develop sourcing strategies to face market trends.Experience in stakeholder and supplier relationship management.Ability to understand the broader business context and its impacts.Ability to translate business requirements into measurable assessment criteria.Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.Action-oriented and solution-minded team player with self-management skills.Strong capability to build and maintain business partnership relationships.Project management knowledge and experience.Proficiency in MS Office applications; SAP/SRM is a plus.Fluent in English, spoken and written.Willingness to travel up to 25%.Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university emphasizing business, economics, finance, procurement, or legal; MBA is a plus.1-3 years working experience with a preferred minimum of 1 year in Procurement or related fields.Industry-specific experience preferred.AT ADIDAS WE HAVE A WINNING CULTURE.
