This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.This position is responsible for managing the life cycles process of the capital program for electric transmission and distribution projects. This includes facilitating established processes across the Eversource three state electric transmission and distribution companies; identifying opportunities for process improvement; and interfacing with engineering, operations, major projects, and other key stakeholders, to support capital initiatives in an effort to improve system reliability.Essential Functions:Review and edit technical project proposals.Manage the technical and financial review and approval process for transmission and distribution engineering projects.Identify and implement process improvement initiatives for the project life cycle.QA/QC review of project technical scope, cost and schedule information.Develop means to ensure systems/processes are working as designed.Assist in managing project authorization through the technical and financial approval process, ensuring timely handoffs and management.Support project quality assurance processes that evaluate all aspects of the project life cycle.Liaison between engineering, finance, project management, siting, transmission and distribution operations to maximize efficiency of the project life cycle process.Ability to present reports to senior leadership.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill:Strong leadership, facilitation and communication skills (including written, oral, and public speaking) required, with extensive knowledge in electric industry compliance and regulatory affairs.Knowledge of Major Substation equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, etc.), protection and controls, SCADA and communication, and overhead/underground electrical lines is highly desirable.Ability to manage Microsoft Access Databases, Microsoft Excel databases and associated user interfaces is highly desirable.Education:Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering technology or equivalent experience.Experience:Minimum of 8 years related industry experience is required with at least (2) years of experience managing teams/projects, or investment planning initiatives. Substation engineering experience a plus.Working Conditions:Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.
