QA Manager

with strong technical leadership skills to spearhead the development and implementation of robust quality assurance policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical aptitude and deep knowledge of Agile methodologies to enhance industry practices, redefine metrics, and innovate new tools and processes geared towards achieving crucial quality goals. They will demonstrate technical leadership in guiding software development projects and leading cross-functional teams to deliver superior software products. They will demonstrate strong technical experience in automated QA technologies and processes to accelerate QA testing.

As a key influencer, the Sr. QA Manager will devise and promote outcome-driven testing strategies within an Agile environment, thereby exercising technical prowess to significantly impacting project outcomesResponsibilities:Develop and implement best practices for QA methodologies.Generate and maintain key QA team performance metrics.Document and refine testing methodologies to ensure efficient and effective product testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving product issues in a timely manner.Facilitate the growth and development of team members through coaching and mentoring.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage a culture of efficiency, innovation, and quality.Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.Conduct defect analysis and perform necessary follow-ups including tracking, documentation, and escalation if necessary.Participate in Agile Ceremonies (backlog refinement, planning, sprints, status meetings, retrospectives, etc.).Report to Department Leadership on progress and raise concerns on impediments to completing all work in a timely manner for delivery.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a leadership role within the QA space using Agile methodologies.Excellent understanding of Agile principles and experience using management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.Minimum of 5 years proven experience in managing and leading QA teams to deliver high-quality software in a timely manner.Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (SQA) methodologies.Minimum of 5 years proven experience in developing quality assurance metrics and procedures.Minimum of 5 years proven experience in automated testing framework like Selenium, MUnit, JUnit, etc.Proficiency in employing software lifecycle and test case management software tools.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Must be available to attend meetings and collaborate with other team members during work hours in Eastern time zone.Lead and drive, a program vision to create a strategy for QA processes along with standard management duties.Must have experience with modern QA tech stacksPreferred Qualifications:Experience with continuous integration and deployment using tools like Jenkins, Docker or similar.Certifications in Agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about issues affecting product quality.Knowledge of or experience with utilizing AI for QA.
