City Dispatch Supervisor/Delivery
Router/Planner
at our Melrose Park, IL facility to manage dispatch operations and coordinate warehouse operations.Days:
Monday through FridayHours:
3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.Responsibilities will include:Delivery Planning for 300 daily deliveries utilizing TMS SoftwareDriver / Route Management and Driver / Delivery SchedulingTimely Dispatch of LTL Loads and Linehaul TrucksCoordinate Dock Operation with driver schedulesAssist with managing truck activity in the terminal and maintenance shopKnowledge with Compliance with DOT OSHA and Safety policiesOther duties as assigned by the Operations ManagerRequirements / Qualifications:Proven basic leadership experience in a fast-paced environmentStrong Organizational, Communication, and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilitiesAbility to execute all procedures and customer requirements according to SOPHandle issues and problems related to the movement of customer productMust be able to utilize proprietary and non-proprietary dispatch softwareStrong Knowledge of DOT Hazardous Material Requirements for TransportExcellent organizational skillsDetail-oriented, able to work quickly, independently and accuratelyAble to adhere to professional business casual dress codeA proven track record in service, attendance, and reliabilityAbility to manage daily issues from a large driver pool and a variety of equipmentExperience in managing operations staffProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookBasic problem-solving and organizational skillsExtensive knowledge of the Chicago metro areaPrior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferredKnowledge of quality freight handling preferredAble to lift 25 poundsCompany CultureCXI Trucking is a family-owned, privately-held transportation company founded in 1990.
