Manager, Sales Content

ICF is seeking a

Manager, Sales Content , to join the Business Development Team in ICF’s Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure Group. As Manager, Sales Content, you will develop and execute a content strategy for our Utility Programs and Services (UPS) Division. This role involves collaborating with the Business Development (BD) team, Divisional Leadership, Marketing, Proposal, Delivery teams, and National Offerings to create engaging sales materials and proposal content that support the entire sales cycle.

Primary Goals

Develop and implement a content development strategy in alignment with business strategy and growth goals.Build a content library of effective, engaging sales materials and proposal content.Drive a standardized approach to content and collateral, promoting "the ICF way."

You will bring strong business judgment, compelling and persuasive storytelling skills, sales and/or marketing experience (preferably in the energy and utility industry), and a passion for driving a resilient and prosperous future. Content Management

Develop and execute a comprehensive content development strategy to create effective and timely collateral and proposal content to support UPS sales efforts and enhance the overall effectiveness of UPS salespeople.Develop and refine the knowledge management process/UPS content libraries and implement the processes and procedures to regularly update them, to ensure content is accurate and easily accessible and navigable to broader UPS teams.Develop and refine sales content, including proposals, pitch decks, and one-pagers, ensuring they maintain consistent and compelling messaging that aligns with ICF’s brand and value proposition, and UPS Proposal Team, EEI Marketing, and UPS National Offering team needs.Standardize templates and guidelines to be used across sales content to ensure uniformity and professionalism.Implement processes and best practices to improve the efficiency and quality of proposal writing.Train proposal teams and writers on persuasive writing practices.

Content Strategy

Coordinate and collaborate with matrixed teams across the organization to identify content needs and gaps; create a roadmap to address them with high-quality, impactful materials.Develop quantifiable metrics to measure content efficacy.Increase consistency in messaging and growth strategies across Lines of Business and in alignment with divisional objectives and key results.

People Management

Lead and manage the content team, providing oversight on content development, and approving content created.Manage a cohort of proposal writers, providing guidance and mentorship throughout their involvement on specific proposals.Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Development and Proposal Team Manager to ensure writing coverage across most strategic proposals.Nurture and coach the growth enablement team by actively engaging in the professional development of team members, providing mentorship, and creating growth opportunities so each team member is empowered to innovate and excel in their role.Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the content team and enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of sales communications.Foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence that encourages knowledge sharing and collaboration.

What You Will Bring With You

Bachelor's degree.Minimum of 5 years of experience developing, optimizing, and/or maintaining content & collateral in a business development, sales enablement, grant writing, or proposal development environment.

What We’d Like You To Bring With You

Proven track record of implementing team processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of work.Affinity towards analyzing data and industry trends.Knowledge of utility programs and services, such as energy efficiency, demand response, distributed energy resources, grid modernization, customer engagement, and program design and implementation.Familiarity with the competitive landscape and the key players in the utility industry.Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Professional Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to work across teams to identify needs and accomplish shared goals.

Pay Range

- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$102,285.00 - $173,884.00
