Job Description:

Oversees and manages the curriculum and delivery of Middle and High School Career and Technical Education (CTE), Accelerating Students through Concurrent Enrollment (ASCENT), Teacher Recruitment Education and Preparation Program (TREP), Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools (P-TECH), Dual Enrollment, and Concurrent Enrollment (CE) programming. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree

Master’s Degree in Education or related field

Responsibilities:

Perform other related duties as assigned including coordinating leadership advisory council for CTE and Elective programs, course approvals for the Master Course Catalog.

District wide CTE/CE Course Guide Development and Maintenance.

Develop and Implement District Wide CTE course request process.

Monitor and oversee capital expenditures specific to CTE programs.

Develop, distribute and maintain CTE, ASCENT, TREP, PTECH, Dual Enrollment, and Concurrent Enrollment curriculum and assessment documentation and program updates.

Perform reviews of CTE instruction, ASCENT, TREP, PTECH, Dual Enrollment, and Concurrent Enrollment and recommends/delivers appropriate teacher training.

Provide follow-up observations and feedback to Site Administrators and educators to improve the programming.

Serve as liaison to District Stakeholders, School Leadership, Learning Services, Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction, Choice Programming departments, District HS Counselors, constituents, and local and State agencies regarding CTE, ASCENT, TREP, PTECH, Dual Enrollment, and Concurrent Enrollment curriculum, programming and initiatives, ensuring accountability and monitoring processes are in place.

Perform supervisory activities for four (4) designated staff (CE, CTE, ASCENT and Work Based Learning Specialists): hire/mentor/discipline; staffing design/master schedule; professional development activities; evaluations; terminations.

Monitor credentialing of all CTE and CE staff district wide.

Create and maintain pathways for staff to attain certification/credentialing for the CTE/CE program.

Perform long-range planning strategies, including budget preparation and monitoring, program development and advertising of programming options across all schools.

Develop process and oversee the Review/approval of reimbursement for students attending post-secondary schools (ASCENT).

Develop/prepare grant proposals, monitoring grant funding, and maintaining grant documentation for federal/state reporting.

Develop and maintain a district wide list of equipment, supplies, materials and training necessary for CTE programming.

Certifications:

Principal or Administrator License - Colorado Department of Education, Specialist or Director Authorization/Credential - CTE

Full Salary Range:

$83,897.36 USD - $130,185.56 USD Annual
