LEARNING DISABILITIES TEACHER CONSULTANT (LDTC) – JERSEY CITY SCHOOLS
The Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC), located in Passaic County, has an opening for a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) for the Jersey City Schools on an as needed basis for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Certifications:
New Jersey LDTC
Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Criminal History background check.
Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Responsibilities:
Experience preferred both as a Teacher and Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant (LDTC).
Responsibilities include evaluations and case management that meets the need of individual students in keeping with the educational goals, objectives and curriculum.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, parents, and community while adhering to confidentiality guidelines at all times.
Familiarity with Google Applications (slides, sheets, docs and drive).
Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities.
Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
Salary Range:
As per negotiated contract and commensurate with experience.
