Position: Meter Data Analytics Analyst IIOverall Purpose:

The Meter Data Analytics Team is responsible for understanding the content of the CC&B and MDM system and driving reporting and analysis based on this information. This position prepares exception reporting via SQL queries and reviews data received into the Meter Data Management System (MDM) from various metering systems and validates for accuracy. Responsibilities include performing simple to hard edits and estimation routines to resolve discrepancies in the data.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze and troubleshoot simple to medium interval usage issues. Ensure the validity of interval data, including estimation and profiling of missing interval data. Responsible for correcting the data and coordinating with other appropriate departments as necessary. (30%)Analyze and resolve time-sensitive meter data related inquiries received from internal departments. (30%)Analyze MDM To-Do exceptions generated each day, based on existing documentation, determine the cause and correct the information to allow for timely billing. Perform initial analysis on new exceptions and provide recommendations for resolution to the Supervisor of System Performance. If the exception is due to a technical issue, work with the Supervisor of Meter Data Analytics to understand and document the issue. (15%)Modify and run existing SQL queries as necessary to provide data needed to analyze and report on exceptions within MDM, CCB, and MWM. Create new simple queries as needed to provide data for exception analysis. (15%)Maintain good working relationships with other departments in the meter to cash operations in order to help resolve simple to hard issues related to usage prior to finalizing billing transactions. (10%)Other duties to support the Meter Data Analytics Team as assigned. (N/A)

Education/Experience:

BS in Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline and two (2) or more years of relevant experience OR a commensurate combination of education and/or experience required.

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written, to ensure effective and accurate information sharing. Analytical ability to ensure efficient and accurate review of reports, system exceptions, issues, and/or errors. Ability to complete concurrent projects to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate deadlines are met.

Scope:

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs, and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one's own time and work flow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform the role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed.

Decision Impact:

Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents.

Normal office environment.

Hybrid Work:

Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.

Storm Roles:

Data Governance:

Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities, and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
