We supply wines from all over the world including specialty spirits.JOB DESCRIPTIONImporter/Distributor seeks experienced self-motivated, creative selling professional that possesses the ability to manage time effectively and maintain customer satisfaction within existing/new territory in the state. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, have a strong work ethic, be highly motivated, goal-oriented, well-organized, and have a strong desire to succeed. This position works with On and Off Premise clients in the Berkshires.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain current and develop new customer relationships.Open new accounts, both on and off premise.Must have ability to sell new portfolios and brand extensions.Acquire necessary product knowledge to assist customers in understanding the brand, including cost, product placement, and the benefits and features.Responsible for planning sales calls through understanding products being presented, how these products will assist the customer in sales, having sell sheets prepared along with pricing.Timely follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction with new products including proper merchandising and providing in-store tastings as needed.Manage samples to ensure product placement in both On and Off Premise locations.Ongoing assistance with customers to ensure all brands are properly merchandised, inventoried, and continued in-store demonstrations to ensure sell-through.Meet or exceed monthly sales and product placement expectations.Attend weekly sales meetings with the goal of gaining knowledge of products through supplier and company training.Utilize Microsoft Office to prepare and maintain route sheets, submit daily reports, and create personalized sales presentations for customers.Account Receivable responsibilities.Assist company and customers in collection of monies owed within the proper credit terms.Must be able to lift 55 lbs. to build displays and assist customers with inventory as needed.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEMinimum of three years experience in either Retail, Restaurants, and/or Wine and Spirit Wholesale.College degree preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Valid driver’s license.Must have a clean driving record.
