The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Black Stallion Estate Winery (BSEW) wine clubs and outbound sales. The Direct Sales Representative is the main point of contact to promote and sell BSEW wines by growing relationships with existing wine club members and developing new customers.Functional Responsibility

Prepares and processes one or more BSEW wine club shipments as assigned, including creation and execution of wine club selection emails; follows up with order exceptions such as credit card declines, compliance errors, and shipping; resolves exceptions so orders can successfully process.Utilizes club member relationships and other customer information to drive direct sales through outbound email and calling efforts to meet or exceed established sales and membership goals.Acts as a personal “Wine Concierge” and main point of contact for all customer service opportunities, including sales, account profile, shipping issues, or other inquiries.Works closely with DTC Manager to develop and execute outside sales promotions by effectively segmenting the customer database for targeted sales campaigns.Updates and maintains club member information including addresses, club status, credit card data, special requests, and preferences; adheres to company privacy policies and ensures the accuracy and security of customers’ personal and credit card information.Works closely with high-end corporate customers and Wine Club members, assisting customers with wine selections and purchases.Communicates and promotes BSEW wines, events, experiences, club upgrade options, and additional services and products.Maintains outbound sales promotional calendar and daily, weekly & monthly sales reports.Assists at Wine Club events.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.3 years Direct to Consumer sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 1 year of telesales experience.Sales experience in the wine and spirits industry preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust be 21 years of age.Self-motivated and professional.Flexible and a team player.Possess a gift for closing sales.Resilience and the ability to handle rejection positively.Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work with the public.Effective time management skills to efficiently handle multiple calls, follow ups and administrative tasks.Positive attitude and demeanor.Ability to build and enhance internal and external customer relationships.Ability to learn new systems and procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.Ability to problem solve logistical and customer service issues.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Computer, phone systems, MS Office Suite, SMS and Internet proficiency.Wine Club administration experience preferred.Basic database management knowledge of bLoyal, Marketo, and Ship Compliant preferred.Certificates and LicensesN/AWorking Conditions

General office environment.Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine.May need to determine color, taste and smell of wine using eyes, tongue, and nose.Work Standards

typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
