Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Follow Corporate processes for maintaining market share data by sweeper technology segment. Continue to refine plans to address market share opportunities.Track market trends and develop business cases for product alignment to those trends. Formulate and execute plans to reduce the competitor’s rank in the market. Outline the opportunities/requirements for international market success and support it with data or roadmap for testing assumptions.Manage all DNET pricing to achieve profitability and market share targets.Maintain Product Development Roadmap in conjunction with the Technology Development, New Product Development and sustaining Engineering groups.Present new ideas to upper management in order to gain acceptance and approval to develop products or product variants.Manage and coordinate the new / enhanced product evolution from concept, to design, prototype, testing, cost, mass production, promotion, serviceability, and support.Manage 80/20 Roadmap with Elgin leadership team.Act as the Voice of Customer (VOC) to all of Elgin Sweeper to ensure the customer’s voice is heard with all internal stakeholders.Work with key partners and organizations (Internal & External) to aggressively drive sales growth for new products, enhancements and programs targeting new and existing customers. Use Design Thinking and Lean Startup methods.Define and manage processes for special content requests. Work to reduce special order content through a process that reviews requests vs. needs and looks to satisfy the customer without requiring special order content.Drive evolution and improvements in the CPQ process and software.Drive Inside sales process improvements as they relate to RFQ lead time, quality and efficiency for factory and dealer perspectives.Drive improvements through Inside Sales to maximize factory demo fleet utilization and effectiveness.Estimate 20-40% travel will be required to visit with customers.Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.Position Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree required, with discipline in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field highly desired. Master’s Degree highly desirable.Five years’ experience with demonstrated high performance in one or more of the following areas: Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Sales, Research and Development, or Product Management is required.Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to demonstrate understanding of mechanical products required.Ability to demonstrate high degree of motivation/entrepreneurial drive and initiative.Ability to effectively lead others, both directly and indirectly.Must exhibit curiosity, optimism and high risk-tolerance and demonstrate ability to apply sound decision-making judgment and business practices in daily work.Strong technical aptitude; the ability to rapidly gain mastery of a subject and effectively and efficiently coach and teach others about that subject.Good business acumen; Outstanding verbal and written communication proficiency with sound skills in Microsoft Office Products, or equivalent software packages.Ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment, as well as comfort with non-hierarchical organizations.Willingness to actively work on the equipment in order to discover unarticulated user needs, better solve existing market needs and address new customer requirements.Demonstrated entrepreneurial curiosity, High self-starter motivation with drive for results initiative.Prior experience with and/or demonstrated ability to learn and thoroughly leverage Sourcewell tool set.Comfort engaging with strangers.Benefits of Employment:In addition to excellent career growth opportunities, Federal Signal Corporation offers a wide array of benefits including: annual bonus potential, insurance (life, medical, dental, vision), paid holidays, paid vacation, 401(k) with matching contributions and tuition reimbursement.
