Job Description

As a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist for the Navigation Targeting Survivability (NTS), you will join a team dedicated to supporting the warfighter. You will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of what's known and solve tomorrow's problems. In this role, you will work on sending Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), negotiating purchase orders (PO), managing orders to completion, and building relationships with the NTS suppliers.

This position is located in Rolling Meadows, IL and includes a hybrid work environment. It is dynamic and challenging, requiring ingenuity, collaboration, and an insatiable drive to make the impossible possible. The Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist responsibilities will include:

Preparing and executing a mixed portfolio of subcontracts

Managing performance of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with all public law requirements as well as company policies and procedures including import/export regulations.

Identifying strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.

Understanding the buyer and seller’s roles to establish mutually successful business arrangements

Specifying solicitations and bid packages

Evaluating proposals and negotiating prices/terms

Developing and administrating contractual documentation and post awards

Leveraging your skill and talents throughout this role

In this role, you will make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet

ALL

of the below criteria. The candidate must possess:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution

3+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing, project management, business management, or information systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences

Proficiency in MS Office suite

Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment

Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications

SAP experience

Knowledge of FAR/DFAR

Salary Range:

$68,800 - $103,200

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
