ResponsibilitiesThis position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.
Job purpose:
The Natural Team Leader is responsible for assisting in providing leadership and management of the production operation at the Macon facility, which includes the positions of the Stock Prep Operators, Mold Machine Operators, Dry End Operators, Material Handlers, Stackers, Wrappers and on-shift Mechanics.
Duties and responsibilities:
Daily completes all work requirements listed in their Leader Standard Work.
Perform Emergency Response duties as required.
Review production orders for accuracy.
Audit and identify areas of non-compliant housekeeping and create action plan to resolve issues to maintain a safe work area.
Manage standardized start-up procedures for all machines on production floor.
Coordinate labor when lines are down.
Monitor new hires and training process and communicate any findings to Training Coordinator and Production Supervisor.
Facilitate transitions at shift change.
Assist the Production Supervisor as needed.
Informs Production Supervisor of any possible stoppage of production or people management issues.
Assists in leading daily staff meetings.
Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
Maintains excellent safety record.
Maintains excellent attendance record.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsExperience:
Up to five (5) years of experience in various positions in the Macon Facility. Mechanical and leadership experience is a plus.
At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards.
Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Skills:
Ability to work safely and to communicate with others in a professional manner.
Proficient in basic computer operation and data entry; some experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams.
Demonstrated ability sufficient to determine product quality, for example, carton malformations, color verification, and structural integrity.
Demonstrated hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for product handling.
Physical requirements:
Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)
Working conditions:
Must be physically able to perform the essential job duties.
Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour schedule.
Works overtime as required.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
