Our technology is state of the art, and we will bring the best team together to deliver for our customers, Georgia-Pacific, and the Muskogee community.What You Will DoEmbrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) cultureOversee daily operations of the power plant to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulationsLead, train, and develop the power plant operations team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvementManage and coordinate routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliabilityDevelop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting production targetsEnsure all activities comply with safety standards and environmental regulationsConduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as neededAnalyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivityLead and manage projects related to upgrades, installations, and efficiency improvements within the plantPartner and communicate with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineers, Asset Availability Leader and others to identify and address performance and knowledge gaps; and resolve operational issuesEnsure compliance with all federal and state requirements, and with Georgia-Pacific Utility OM guidelinesWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Five or more years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, and management with supervisory responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of power plant systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipmentAbility to lead and develop a team, manage budgets, and oversee power plant operationsFamiliarity with safety and environmental regulations with a strong commitment to safety protocols and proceduresWhat Will Put You AheadAssociates degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations ManagementTen or more years of experience in the operation/maintenance of a power plantKnowledge of boiler water treatment processesPower plant systems reliability or maintenance experienceAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
