Lead Data Analyst, OFE

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of OFE Data Analyst and Reporting Lead, who reports to our Senior Planning Manager and will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to identify trends and provide clients or management with valuable information that they can use to improve marketing, operational, and business practices. Their main duties include identifying, gathering, analyzing data, and making their insights accessible to the company through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables, and reports. This position will be in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities:

Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns

Organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures

Design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department

Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy

Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout

Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports

Create business reports that provide insight into key data points

Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers

Support various departments, including marketing and sales, in reaching their goals through analysis

Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field like statistics or computer engineering or equivalent experience in LNG project engineering and/or construction industry

Three years of experience as a financial or business analyst

Experience in object-oriented programming and other data analysis programs

Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports

Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines

Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs, and charts

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers

Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions

Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results

General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow

Eligibility Requirement:

Ability and willingness to travel per project requirements. Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies.
