The Banquet Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of banquets and events, including setup, food service, and cleanup. They ensure that events run smoothly and exceed guests’ expectations. This is a challenging and rewarding position for those with a passion for hospitality and event management.

To be successful in this role, a Banquet Assistant Director must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team. They need to be able to think on their feet and make quick decisions when issues arise.

In addition to managing the event itself, a banquet supervisor will also be responsible for scheduling staff, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all equipment is in working order. They work closely with other departments such as Catering, Culinary, and AV to ensure that all aspects of the event are coordinated and executed flawlessly.

Responsibilities:

Supervise events and team members throughout service.

Guide the Banquet servers in the set up of tables and place settings.

Be familiar with all current and upcoming event details.

Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently.

Assist the Banquet Manager with scheduling, training, and performance management.

Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies, and operating equipment for functions assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar Job role or minimum 2+ years experience as Banquet Manager.

Possess in-depth knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation.

Experience in Hotel management software and Point of Sale system

Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate business needs

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
