As a Shift Leader you will:Assist the management team by providing leadership, direction, and supervision to Team Members during their shift, while ensuring a high-quality experience for guests.Provide day-to-day operational leadership by delegating shift duty assignments to staff/students, oversee front end and back of restaurant operations, ensuring products and ingredients are stocked and available based on forecasting, and training new team members.Work with the team members to ensure food standards, presentation, and quality are met in a timely fashion.Provide excellent customer service to all guests through front end and back end operations:Greeting all guests in a friendly manner.Accurately entering orders and performing cashier duties.Ingredient and food preparation.Front end and kitchen stocking and inventory.Cleaning, sanitation, and dish machine operation.Performing opening and closing procedures.Monitoring food quality and safety.Addressing guest concerns.Steak ’n Shake Shift Leaders support an environment of teamwork and demonstrate the Golden Rule. High school or equivalent experience. Three years food preparation experience and mastery of all kitchen and dining tasks and attributes. Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure necessary. Ability to communicate essential. Must have the ability to train and lead others. Food handlers permit or ability to obtain by passing safety and sanitation test.Preferred Qualifications
