S&K Federal Services has a potential need for a

Lead Logistics Operations Manager

located at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) and Army Testing Evaluation Command (ATEC) in Aberdeen, Maryland. This role will support the Facilities Infrastructure and Logistics Operations Support Services (FI&LOSS) US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM-CBC) by providing facilities/infrastructure maintenance and operations services and logistics support services. This support will be supplemental to that provided by the installation's Directorate of Public Works (DPW). The Lead Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for all logistics operations and for supervising all logistics operations staff.Responsibilities:Supervise logistics staff in activities associated with TMDE calibrations, MHE, receiving, shipping, storage, property book, turn-in and delivering excess equipment as a working supervisor.Supervise supply clerk in assuring accurate inventory records of excess equipment.Plan and revise work schedules to ensure an even workflow and assure priority cases are handled expeditiously.Coordinate with the COR and Program Manager regarding logistics priorities, procedures, and accomplishments.Prepare workload reports and maintain accurate records of activities.Resolve conflicts in accordance with company policies and procedures.Oversee training and mandatory certification for logistics staff and provide technical guidance when necessary.Provide management and oversight on assigned project/program using industry standard management tools and practices.Provide leadership and guidance to assigned team members. Determine and initiate personnel improvement or corrective measures as necessary.Ability to mentor staff to support career development.Ensure work requested through the project/program is performed properly to the complete satisfaction of the customer and contract requirements.Support policies, procedures, and goals for successful project/program execution.Represent the company at Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and customer meetings as required.Prepare and present reports and briefings as necessary/required.Travel in support of the program, customer, and company.Provide leadership, and guidance for subordinates as needed, evaluate personnel and initiate improvement or corrective measures as necessary to promote development and success.Receive and up-channel any grievances/issues that may arise from staff.Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.Education:Bachelor's Degree in related field.Experience:Minimum of (10) Years of Logistics Management Experience OR Have served in the U.S. Military and retained a Logistics Military Occupation Specialty in a Supervisory capacity for a minimum of (6) years.License, Cert or Registration:Must have current/valid Maryland CLASS C drivers' license.Must have proof of U.S. citizenship.Ability to satisfy a background investigation.Special knowledge, skills, & abilities:Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.Must be proficient in the use of computers and software to perform work (e.g., Microsoft Office) and general office equipment.Practice and enforce high standards of personal hygiene and maintain a clean, neat appearance while on duty.Comply with dress code applicable to facility and location being supported as well ensure ID, badges and credentials are clearly visible while on duty.A background of working with employees who are members of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is considered a plus.SKT, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veteran/Disabled employer.
