When you join our multidisciplinary team, you become part of a passionate group determined to impact lives and empower youth.Your ImpactThe Father Child Engagement Specialist (FCES) is responsible for providing fathers of newborns and infants in the assigned Welcome Home Baby (WHB) program with engagement services, case management, and home visitation services to support the health, well-being, and development of their children.Your Skills and DutiesEngage fathers of newborns and infants with services provided by the program.Provide education and support with child development and parenting young children.Provide case management and home visiting services utilizing agency adopted curriculum and screening tools.Strengthen the social supports of new fathers; encourage them to become part of a strong parent community.Develop and host father-child engagement events, activities, workshops, support groups, and parenting classes.Connect clients to community resources, referrals, and link fathers of newborns and infants to services, information, education, advocacy, and resources; provide enrollment assistance.Build collaborative relationships with community stakeholders who support fathers of newborns and engage in the provision of father-specific resources and services.Attend and represent the agency at relevant county-wide meetings.Maintain records, collect data, prepare reports and conduct work utilizing a data system; monitor attendance, participation, and evaluation of services.Complete program and administrative paperwork per guidelines; ensure compliance with program, funder, and regulatory policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Work ExperienceAA Degree in Early Childhood Education OR working towards AA Degree in Early Childhood Education with at least 12 units completed.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of family support with emphasis on father engagement, family, or early childhood support and providing Hispanic centric family support services (in-home or center based services).Bilingual: Fluent in oral and written Spanish and English.Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility, i.e. fingerprinting and child abuse index clearance, TB/health physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.Flexible Time Off13 paid holidays along with 10 vacation and 10 sick daysMedical, dental and vision plansA 100% fully employer paid (premium) medical and dental benefit planFlexible Spending AccountsMedical and dependent care plansRetirement Savings403(b) and 401(a) retirement plan with employer contributionsIncome ProtectionLife, AD&D, and disability insuranceAccident, critical illness, and hospital gap planTraining and AdvancementOngoing training & development opportunitiesEmployee assistance programFree confidential crisis line 24/7 (365 days a year)Six (6) face-to-face or telephonic sessions per issueOther PerksCommuter program and mileage reimbursementEmployee recognition and discount programsAspira means hope.
