Position:

Supplier Quality EngineerLocation: Racine, WI manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:Assessing, qualifying, and developing suppliers and manufacturing services providers.Monitoring supplier performance, evaluating and auditing suppliers' systems, processes, standards, products, components, and applications against technical, quality, and EHS requirements.Managing the supplier corrective action process to drive improvement in supplier quality performance.

Education and/or Experience:B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred.5+ Years' experience working in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering and/or quality management roles in an ISO 9001 certified or similar quality system environment.Experience with one or more of the following processes: Machining, Casting, Forging, Heat Treat, and/or Gears.Experience working directly with suppliers is preferred.Experience auditing processes and/or quality systems is preferred.

Computer Skills:Experience using ERP systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Communication Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization.Ability to develop strong working relationships with external suppliers.Able to hold suppliers accountable to meet Twin Disc quality requirements.Ability to effectively communicate our standards to existing and potential suppliers.Ability to create reports and presentations for all levels of internal and external audiences.

Technical Requirements:Ability to retrieve and analyze data, understand and interpret trends, develop and implement fact-based measures and controls.Experience with gaging techniques (CMM, Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Depth Gages, Height Stands, etc.).Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.

Work Environment:Position based in Racine, Wisconsin with regular presence in manufacturing facility.Requires frequent travel to suppliers and potential suppliers. Overnight travel up to 25% of the time. Limited international travel.

Specialized Knowledge:Knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and quality auditing.
