What You Can ExpectAs our Category Lead Buyer for Electrical Equipment & Services, Advisor, you will collaborate with Global Business Units, Group Category Management, and Project Procurement to align on the Electrical Equipment category strategy. You will lead the supplier qualification and sourcing process, initiate major negotiation efforts for contracting to secure the supply chain of key equipment, and ensure compliance with Group's and local requirements (Ethics, CSR, H&S). Additionally, you will manage frame agreements, monitor supplier performance, and foster relationships with key suppliers. You will also develop a contracting strategy, document the category strategy playbook, and provide your expertise on technology and industry trends. This position is located in Houston, TX, and reports to the NorthAM Chief Procurement Officer.Provide expertise in technology, pricing, and industry trends for North America, conducting supply market analysis and identifying challenges/opportunities.Maintain relationships with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), ensuring smooth supply chain operations and proactively addressing potential disruptions.Monitor supplier performance with input from Global Business Units (GBUs), steering the overall procurement process.Lead negotiation efforts for contracting, manage competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) bids, and drive final supplier selections in partnership with key stakeholders.What You'll BringYou hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering.A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement.You possess a working knowledge of the construction labor market and materials/commodities market trends.You demonstrate strong relationship management and communication skills, collaborating with bid/project managers and technical teams.You bring experience in bidding, negotiating, and hiring trade contractors while maintaining cost competitiveness.You have advanced knowledge in Procurement processes and tools (SAP, Ariba) and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Additional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in the Houston, TX office.Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing.Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.CompensationSalary Range:

$100,905 - $147,660 USD annually.This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
