JOIN USThe Business Development Manager (BDM) is a key driver of growth and strategic expansion for our organization. Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and leading initiatives to secure projects, they play a pivotal part in shaping the company's trajectory. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape.Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and develop effective business strategies.Evaluate potential projects based on strategic fit, technical feasibility, financial viability, and alignment with the company's strengths.Strategic Partnerships

Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, EPCs, economic development agencies, and other relevant industry players.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create mutually beneficial partnerships that drive revenue growth.Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of strategies across departments.Market Expansion

Drive the company's expansion into new markets by assessing market entry strategies, regulatory requirements, and other considerations.Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and grow our customer base.Business Development

Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans that align with the company's overall strategy.Identify target markets, customer segments, and geographic regions for expansion.Identify and assess potential business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and industry research.Evaluate the feasibility of new business initiatives, including financial projections and risk assessment.Manage the business development pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions.Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on pipeline status and progress.Nurture leads through the sales pipeline and convert them into valuable business relationships.Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with company goals and objectives.Lead the development of high-quality proposals, including technical solutions, pricing strategies, project timelines, and deliverables.Work closely with technical teams to ensure proposals are tailored to meet client needs and showcase our capabilities effectively.Contribute to the execution of the marketing strategy and business development plans.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFULMinimum 5 years' industrial sales experience in a B2B environmentExperience navigating government bids and RFPs (request for proposal)DEC in Engineering Technologies or Bachelor's of Engineering (or equivalent experience)Knowledge of industrial automation products and servicesKnowledge of the heavy industry market in Eastern CanadaKnowledge of EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)Knowledge of market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscapesCustomer Relationship Management (CRM) Software (Intermediate)Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)WORK LOCATION:
