JOB SUMMARY:

The Surveillance Manager is responsible for implementing, directing, and monitoring the actions of the surveillance department to ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and company policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Hire, retain, motivate, manage, and evaluate surveillance staff, ensuring Team Members receive adequate support, guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.Consistently communicate operational information with the surveillance team, Management and other departments.Ensures complete surveillance of the property and acts when necessary.Assigns duties and examines/ensures exactness and compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, liquor laws, Title 31, and State and Federal Regulations as they apply.Assists General Manager with planning, financing, and development of new projects.Responds to department changes as dictated by the industry and the company.Understands the company’s policies relating to emergency procedures to include fire, safety and health regulations.Ensures surveillance staff have sufficient equipment and supplies to do their job effectively.Ensures the surveillance and security systems provide maximum protection to all Team Members, guests, and the company’s assets, while maintaining the physical integrity of the Casino.Responsible for department training on Table Games knowledge with an emphasis in game protection, pay/take activities, possible advantage play, cheating and collusion methods.Responsible for the operation of the closed-circuit television system (CCTV) and shall perform its duties independently of all other departments in the Casino.Ensures confidentiality of any proceeds within the department and its Team Members.Ensures the appropriate surveillance logs are updated and submitted.Ensure all potential evidence from CCTV video recordings are securely stored.Ensures all surveillance operators assigned to monitor or surveil activities are independent of the gaming, security and cashier departments.Ensures the surveillance office is a secure area with restricted access.Prepares and maintains up-to-date surveillance training and procedural manuals, detailing all systems and procedures.Audits the surveillance systems and procedures and makes recommendations when necessary.Carries out investigations as required by the General Manager, Compliance Director or Human Resources are carried out. These may include but are not limited to, theft, dishonesty, breaches of company policy or accidents.Coordinates surveillance investigation efforts with outside law enforcement agencies to assure proper handling of civil violations of patrons or Team Members; appear in court to assist in criminal justice proceedings.Implements an intelligence file on guests who have been barred or have or are suspected of having committed a criminal act in the casino or any other casino.Maintains two systems whereby files are organized for gaming related incidents and for non-gaming related incidents.

KEY SUCCESS INDICATORS:

Must demonstrate the ability to manage, lead and motivate surveillance staff to execute exactness in surveilling day-to-day operations of the casino and protect the company against loss of assets and ensure company-wide compliance of internal policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree required.Must have 3+ years of Surveillance technical experience.Must be 21 years of age or older.Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion Policy.Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid NH gaming license.
