Supply Chain Manager

The primary responsibility is to optimize seed supply and operations resourcing by systematically reviewing forecasts, customer orders, seed purchases, inventory, and inventory location. This process will provide critical information throughout the business for sales, logistics, operational line scheduling, seed cleaning, planning for grower crop, cash flow forecasting, and inventory control. The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer.Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Lead team responsible for supply chain planning, logistics, inventory management, and lot allocationManage long term +3 year seed position by species and varietyManage and refine/optimize sourcing plans and strategies for grass seed needed to meet customer demand strategyManage and level load short term forecast and order releasing to manufacturing to meet customer delivery targetsManage inventory location to ensure available to meet manufacturing schedule and customer demandUse and create tools in Excel, Power BI, and ERP to enable efficient review and ability to take action to drive business resultsCoordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance to achieve sync supply and demand, and forecast financial implications such as ending inventoriesMust be willing to take on projects and other duties as assigned as business needs changeRequired Skills/Abilities
Ability to analyze complex data sets and create simple methods of presentation/reviewExcellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experiencePower BI experience is preferredSkilled in use of Microsoft Office SuiteMust have at least 1yr of leadership experienceAbility to be flexible with task assignment, and willing to take on new/different tasksProactive and eager approach to solving problems and thinking several steps aheadRelates well with growers, customers, and other team members (such as grower services, manufacturing, sales, etc…)Required Education and Experience
Bachelors in Engineering or Supply ChainSupervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment
