Quality Assurance ManagerReports To:

Owner/Founder

Summary:

Reporting to the Owner/Founder, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for supervising the quality assurance team for the company. The incumbent ensures that quality is the number one priority and that the transfer of needed quality information occurs effectively. The Quality Assurance Manager will work with team members to develop goals and set achievable targets, encourage employee buy-in of new quality processes, and develop effective quality measurement tools. Responsibilities include maintaining the Quality Management System and pursuing additional quality certifications.

Job Duties

Oversee and perform internal QA audits compliant with corporate policies.

Develop quality assurance plans.

Liaise with product managers and sales personnel for document transfer.

Assess software and hardware for document transfer improvements.

Maintain QA monitoring programs, including audits and controls.

Support continuous improvement by integrating quality control tools.

Ensure compliance with Company QA programs for monitoring supplier quality.

Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

Develop methods for accurate measurement of quality results.

Assess quality systems and processes to identify shortfalls.

Analyze Non Compliance Reports to track inconsistencies.

Produce monthly reports showing QA results and present findings to Senior Management.

Participate in strategic planning, including annual budget preparation.

Create and retain QA control documentation.

Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards.

Assist with maintenance of the ISO Quality Management System.

Participate actively in the QISC.

Stay current on new processes in Quality Control and Assurance.

Interview, select, orient, and train candidates for personnel gaps.

Schedule team associates for appropriate coverage.

Oversee departmental results and make necessary adjustments.

Manage the purchase and calibration/verification of testing equipment.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015/QMS requirements.

Requirements

Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Quality Control field.

Minimum 5 years of direct work experience with QA systems.

Direct knowledge of QA methodologies.

Practical experience with risk management and product testing.

Five years of managerial or Team Leader experience in manufacturing or fabrication.

Effective leadership skills focused on Quality Assurance processes.

Ability to embrace the role of change agent.

Able to compile and analyze reports.

Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to multitask.

Extremely detail-oriented.

Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

Supervise and interface with cross-functional teams.

Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills.

Experience with technical documentation.

Strong presentation skills.

Strong mathematical ability.

Able to develop and maintain metrics and quality audits.

Strong problem identification and resolution skills.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Working Conditions

Travel may be required.

Ability to attend and conduct presentations.

Manual dexterity required for desktop computer use.

Overtime as required.
