Parexel has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director, Portfolio Management to join our global Operational Excellence & Delivery team supporting the OED Enterprise Program Management Office. The primary role of the Executive Director of Portfolio Management is to support the OED Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) to govern and report progress on the portfolio of internal investments, including transformational and corporate initiatives. This role will lead a combined PMO construct and unified governance model. The EDPM proactively collaborates with Parexel internal project teams and others involved in the definition and delivery of the initiatives.Responsibilities:Business case development oversightProject approval governance (inclusive of technology lifecycle gates)Portfolio prioritizationResource planning including operational impact assessment; ensuring that projects are progressing according to plan/commitmentsPortfolio KPI management; scorecard management; supporting financial management and reconciliationProduction of key progress reportsTracking and assimilation of savings/benefit realization and KPI dataPreparation and presentation of materials for internal meetingsManagement of communication between internal stakeholdersExperience required:Excellent program/project management and control skillsAdvanced problem-solving skills and ability to summarize complex situations into key pointsStrong influencing skills and ability to engage and lead teamsHighly motivated, self-starting, with strong results orientationStrong verbal & written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills (mainly internally and often at higher levels)Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages such as Teams, Excel, MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePointDemonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to take structured approach to varied work assignmentsStrong team leader who is dedicated to making cross-functional, culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams successfulStrong meeting facilitation and presentation skillsAptitude to interface with all levels of staff, including top managementProven relevant experience with managing large, complex portfolio programs in healthcare, consultancy, or contract research organizationFamiliarity with project management methodology ideally in combination with a background in a functional business area such as human resources, finance, accounting, marketing/sales or clinical studiesExperience running an IT PMO would be beneficialAdvanced proficiency in corporate financeLine management experience is requiredExperience with organizational change managementEducation:Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, management or business administration, with an advanced technical degree or MBA desirable
