Job SummaryThe Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize day-to-day supply chain activities within our food manufacturing operations. This includes managing procurement, planning and scheduling, and inventory management. The role involves developing and executing supply chain strategies to support our operational and business goals, while ensuring adherence to company policies and maintaining the highest service levels for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning : Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with operational and business goals. Prepare and execute supply plans in line with the Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) process.
Leadership & Direction : Provide leadership to ensure all supply chain processes meet company standards. Establish and manage planning controls to maintain commitment and supply integrity for raw materials and finished products.
Performance Management : Own and drive supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focusing on customer service excellence, inventory optimization, and the reduction of slow-moving stock.
Process Improvement : Develop, manage, and enhance end-to-end production and raw material planning processes. Resolve stock-out issues to prevent disruptions in production and customer deliveries.
Inventory Oversight : Monitor and manage material orders, inventories, and production plans, ensuring effective handling of excess, slow-moving, and aging inventory.
Collaboration : Work closely with Procurement on forecasting and contract requirements to ensure timely ordering of raw materials. Serve as a liaison between vendors and customers, leveraging strong interpersonal skills.

Travel : Some travel required (5-10%) to meet with suppliers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience : 5-7 years of supply chain management experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in procurement, planning, and inventory management.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in SAP ERP systems is required. Experience with vendor- and customer-facing interactions is preferred.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
Additional Skills : Experience with family-owned companies is preferred. Must possess strong leadership abilities, analytical skills, and the capacity to interact effectively with a diverse range of personalities.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of objects up to fifty (50) pounds.
Manual dexterity for operating office equipment and computers.
Ability to navigate and work in a manufacturing environment, including areas with moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor.
Exposure to typical office conditions including moderate noise levels and climate control.
Manufacturing floor conditions may include exposure to noise, fluctuating temperatures, and exposure to industrial machinery.
