Management has the exclusive right to alter this job description at any time without notice.JOB SUMMARYThe Family Justice Center Manager is vital to the Gaguulda Lumoatga FJC. Reporting directly to the Social Services Director, this individual fosters a collaborative and culturally competent work environment. They ensure the seamless delivery of essential services to crime victims through effective program management, staff development, and quality assurance practices.JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement strategic plans to expand the FJC's reach and impact, identifying new opportunities to address emerging community needs.Directly oversee all FJC programs, ensuring adherence to best practices and efficient service delivery.Lead grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure sustainable program operations and expansion funding. Manage awarded grants with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and efficient budget utilization. Performance-based incentives attached to successfully funded applications.Conduct program evaluations to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and demonstrate program impact to funders and stakeholders.Oversee facility maintenance and security policies and protocols to create a safe and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.STAFF SUPERVISION and DEVELOPMENT:Provide effective leadership and mentorship to a diverse team, including the Victim Services Coordinator and other assigned staff.Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that prioritizes professional development and growth.Identify training needs and facilitate staff development opportunities in trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and best practices in victim services and Indian Child Welfare.COMMUNITY COLLABORATION and ADVOCACYBuild strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies, State and Tribal courts, social service providers, and other service delivery systems and stakeholders within Southern Southeast Alaskan communities to create a coordinated response system for victims.Advocate for the needs of victims at the community, regional, and national levels, raising awareness and promoting policies that support healing and safety.Provide oversight of outreach and education initiatives within the community to increase awareness about domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and the resources available at the FJC.REPORTING DATA and MANAGEMENTEnsure accurate and timely data collection and reporting, complying with all funding requirements and program evaluation metrics.Prepare comprehensive reports to demonstrate program performance, track service delivery trends, and inform continuous improvement efforts.Additional duties as assigned by the Social Services Director.MINI UM QUALIFICATIONS(Education and Experience)Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Social Services setting, with at least two years of supervisory experience.Proven experience in program management, grant writing, budget oversight, and data analysis.On a year-for-year basis, a combination of relevant experience, education, and training may substitute for education and experience requirements.Proof of valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.PRFERRED QUALIFICATIONS(Education and Experience)Masters degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a closely related fieldMinimum of four (4) years of experience in a Social Services setting, with at least four (4) years of supervisory experience.NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIESIn-depth knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking dynamics.Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices, ensuring a client-centered approach to service delivery.Commitment to cultural competency and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within Alaska Native communities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, fostering collaboration and building trust with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software programs.Strong understanding and sensitivity to American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribal culture and lifestyle, working effectively with AI/AN populations.Effective oral and written communication skills with sensitivity to the lifestyles of targeted participants.Skills in operating personal computers using a variety of computer software.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with management, coworkers, and outside contacts.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable federal and tribal privacy laws and KIC policy (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).Learn and apply program/agency policies and procedures.Manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively and meet deadlines.Work independently and as part of a team.KIC COMPETENCIESCultural Competency: Tobe respectful and responsiveto the health beliefs, practices, and cultural and linguistic needs of KIC Tribal Members.
