POSITION SUMMARY:
As one of our Regional Warehouse Managers, you will oversee, plan, monitor and manage teams supporting the Supply Chain. This position will ensure departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of processes. The Regional Warehouse Manager will also promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization. You will develop, optimize, and coordinate warehousing and distribution for warehouses in the growing Metronet Supply footprint. You must possess accurate and precise attention to detail to manage daily operations, logistics personnel, and logistics systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:
Oversee, plan, monitor and manage teams supporting the Supply Chain and Warehousing teamsAssist Evansville Warehouse operations and other cross-functional team membersEnsure departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of processesCommunicate to senior management Supply Chain and service issues with short- and long-term recommendations on resolution.Train, coach, and evaluate remote warehouse teamImplement new strategies and initiativesManage hourly employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution, or office environmentsMaintain daily contact with your direct reports and understand current warehouse state every dayUse remote solutions such as video conferencing to maintain contact regularly.Resolve daily Supply Chain issuesAnalyze, resolve, or escalate inventory issues for correct inventory levels in remote warehousesEnsure remote workers check out inventory on a regular basisReview and analyze budgets, expenditures, and operations in remote citiesDetermine improvements in remote warehousingProvide leadership to help team develop skills and meet goalsDevelop and document standard operating proceduresImplement new strategies and initiativesTravel up to 70% to Metronet Warehouse's supporting onsite teams and associatesTrain, coach, and evaluate logistical teamAssist logistics coordinator, warehouse specialists, and other team membersAll other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field5+ years' experience in logistics and warehousing to include warehouse layout, design, and TMS/WMS applications.Documented experience in a leadership position within a warehouse operationProven leadership skills with remote team that encourage, build, and developProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to coach and correctSix Sigma / Lean experience preferredValid driver's licenseAbility to lift up to 50 pounds
