As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our engineering and various other departments by efficiently managing the procurement process. This includes creating purchase orders from purchase requisitions, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all necessary information, and adherence to the purchasing process checklist. You will also be responsible for the incoming inspection of goods, working closely with vendors for qualification and monitoring of in-process orders. We are looking for our specialists to apply their technical expertise in quality assurance, with familiarity in ISO 9000 or AS9100 standards, and problem-solving skills, to positively impact the future of energy!

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering and other departments to accurately create purchase orders from purchase requisitions.

Ensure all required information is included in purchase requisitions and that the purchasing process checklist is followed meticulously.

Manage the receiving process of goods and services, including the execution of the incoming inspection process to ensure quality and compliance.

Engage in vendor qualification processes and perform regular in-process order check-ins to ensure vendor performance and product quality.

Maintain a thorough understanding of ISO 9000 or AS9100 standards and apply quality management principles to the procurement process.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and prices while ensuring the best quality and service.

Address and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, invoices, and payment processes in collaboration with the finance department.

Stay informed of market trends, supplier capabilities, and advancements in procurement technology to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, specifically ISO 9000 or AS9100.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum.

Desired

Complex integrated hardware experience. Ideally from nuclear, space and defense, or aerospace.
