R&D Manager

location. In this role you will provide technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to a team of engineers and scientists, driving innovation and the development of cutting-edge solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research, and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of R&D activities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport Honeywell to deliver creative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers.Work with a large research team to architect, design, build, and test custom cryogenic components and subsystems, including pumping, fluid/gas circulation, vacuum, and related technologies.Lead/Manage a group of scientists and engineers.Write/deliver performance appraisals, approve expense reports, set and evaluate goals, and ensure team success in meeting near-term breakthroughs.Accountable for delivery of technological milestones.US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTSMust be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.YOU MUST HAVEUS Citizenship to obtain or maintain a security clearance.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.10+ years technical experience.5+ years leadership experience.WE VALUEMaster’s degree in Engineering or related field.Experience leading and mentoring scientists.Experience developing project and resource plans.Interest in working in a rapid prototyping environment.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience in Digital R&D/ Component and Systems Modeling.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe annual base salary or hourly pay range for this position is $142,000-$177,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.This position is incentive plan eligible.In addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
