With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions.Qualifications:Required:Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursingMinimum of 3-5 years acute nursing experience with one year of nursing department experienceSuccessful completion of all Orientation ProgramsPreferred:Bachelor of Science in NursingCertifications and Licenses Required:Current Registered Nurse License in the State of New JerseyBasic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart AssociationCertifications as required by law, statute, and/or regulation for area or specializationScheduling Requirements:Day ShiftPer DiemScheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts a month1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per yearEssential Functions:The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice.The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.The Registered Nurse supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions.The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
