Reporting to the Director for Center for Honor Enrichment and Community Standards (CHECS), the Assistant Director for CHECS assumes a leadership role in developing and maintaining the university’s community standards, articulating the Honor ethos that permeates the campus, and providing educational opportunities for students. Specifically, this administrator adjudicates allegations of violations for the University’s Honor Code (including academic integrity incidents) and the Student Code of Conduct.Work Tasks:Investigate and analyze complex student behaviors while adjudicating alleged violations of the Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct.Use technology to maintain appropriate records and files of disciplinary cases in compliance with University policies and state/federal laws.Serve as a System Administrator for Maxient, providing database oversight and management.Serve as an advisor to the Student Honor Council, responsible for recruiting, training, and advising members.Develop and facilitate educational opportunities for the campus community about the Honor Code.Provide outreach and consultation to faculty, staff, students, and families.Collaborate with campus offices to ensure cohesive messaging and education.Support “at risk” students in collaboration with various campus offices.Resolve challenging situations involving students through extensive interaction.Assist in creating and updating assessment criteria to determine the impact of CHECS.Provide guidance and support for Student Affairs professionals addressing disciplinary issues.Assist with campus-wide events and initiatives.Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude and treat everyone with dignity and respect.Follow workplace safety regulations and adhere to applicable standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's):Strong organizational and administrative skills.Exceptional analytical skills.Proven ability to investigate and analyze complex student behavior concerns.Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.Experience working with diverse student populations.Required Education:

Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree and related experience that equates to an advanced degree.Experience Required:Experience managing student or employee issues.Experience with administrative processes.Experience with conflict mediation and resolution options.Experience planning or implementing educational programs.Salary Information:
