Job Description

The Manager of Commercial and Marketing Analytics plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimize commercial operations. The individual will report into the Commercial Analytics team and will support sales, marketing, market research, market access, medical affairs and customer support.

This role involves analyzing sales performance, customer behavior, and marketing effectiveness to identify opportunities, define KPIs, and develop actionable recommendations to increase revenue generation and improve product commercialization, customer engagement, and market share. With a focus on continuous improvement, the Marketing Analyst collaborates cross-functionally to align sales and marketing initiatives with organizational goals and drive sustainable business success.

Responsibilities

Together with the Director of Commercial Analytics, design the commercial analytics function for the company, including developing an overall analytics strategy, building out the infrastructure required with the Engineering team, and identifying KPI’s for all commercial functions.

Analyze sales and marketing performance data, customer feedback, and market insights to assess the effectiveness of commercial strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Support in the development of financial models, forecasts, and business cases to evaluate the financial viability of new product offerings and strategic alliances.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer support, market access, and medical affairs, to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis and market intelligence.

Collaborate with marketing manager(s) on in-depth primary market research and analysis to support the product brand(s).

Support the development of pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and sales forecasts to maximize revenue and gross margins.

Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of commercial initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Uphold the company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

Adhere to company’s SOPs and policies as well as all relevant laws and regulations.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, finance, economics, engineering, computer or data science, computer information systems, or marketing.

Experience

Proven track record as a marketing analyst, preferably with a diagnostic laboratory or healthcare company (life sciences, medical devices), interacting with health care providers and patients.

Working experience with Salesforce suite of products – Sales / CRM, Marketing, Service.

Working experience with business intelligence software and developing dashboards, preferably in Tableau or Power Bi.

Working experience managing and analyzing medical claims data.

Working experience using marketing platforms to track campaign performances, such as Google Analytics, Marketo, Domo, Hubspot or others.

Desirable Attributes

Proven experience in business analysis, market research, or strategic planning within the life sciences or diagnostic industry.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, market research, data analysis, and quantitative research methods.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and actionable insights, and executive presence to present to C-suite and Board of Directors.

Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset, capable of driving projects forward and influencing decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements, market access dynamics, and commercialization strategies in the life sciences and diagnostic industry is desirable.

Understanding of Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) and the regulatory and compliance requirements in the diagnostics field.
