Full-Time Roving Maintenance Technician

to join our team in

San Diego .Job Summary:The Roving Building Engineer, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Manager of Engineering, maintains and repairs or supervises the maintenance and repair of common property as assigned to various buildings in San Diego. The Roving Building Engineer is a trained responder to property emergencies such as fire, flood, earthquake, and other disasters and will be available for emergencies after normal working hours.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems to include mechanical, electrical/electronic, CCTV, fire/life safety, smoke control, access control/security, HVAC, and water circulation systems, including coordination and interaction with necessary subcontractors to ensure optimum performance of equipment.Train building staff as necessary on proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment.Schedule and supervise all city and or state mandated inspection and testing of common area equipment such as annual fire/life safety system testing, elevator inspections, and recall testing.Ensure Association is in compliance with all Fire/Life Safety inspections and repairs.Oversee development and implementation of preventative maintenance program.Oversee operations on third party vendors' performance.Respond to inquiries and investigate and resolve problems related to resident complaints in a timely and courteous manner.Requirements/Qualifications:Onsite Engineering experience in a luxury high-rise community or hotel. HOA experience is a plus!Strong verbal and written communication skills.Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with MS Office applications.Must have reliable transportation to and from various properties in San Diego.Must be available by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies.Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening post-offer.High Rise mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Fire/Life/Safety Systems experience.Familiar with Uniform Commercial Building Code.EPA/608 Universal License.Fire Pump Certificate.HVAC Certification.Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance.Pay: $28 - $30 an hourSchedule: Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMWhy You’ll Love Working at ActionAt Action Property Management, we believe in creating an environment where you truly love where you work.
