About this role:

Our HR Technology team is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager who can consistently lead technology projects and programs that enable Gartner’s talent strategy. As trusted technology partners to the HR organization, we propel Gartner’s success through innovation, operational excellence, and exceptional user experiences in Workday and other third-party HR products, back-office integrations, and NextGen data engineering solutions.

You will be responsible for driving successful technology implementations, managing project schedules & budgets, effectively communicating project outcomes, and consistently promoting an Agile mindset. You will work closely with technology teams to build and deliver technology solutions, grow strategic business partnerships, and help cultivate a thriving IT organizational culture. Expertise in the HR Technology domain and with advanced technical concepts is critical to the role.

What you'll do:

Manage activities associated with complex IT projects of varying types and sizes, applying project management principles and techniques to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects.

Collaborate and engage with cross-functional IT groups to identify resource, task, and project interdependencies. Communicate across related areas of Gartner IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and leverage shared capabilities.

Analyze and rationalize requirements to determine agreed, achievable project objectives that align with organizational goals and strategies. Drive estimates for all components of the projects.

Review and integrate multiple work streams of projects into a structured, cohesive project plan.

Manage day-to-day activities for agile teams including sprint management, sprint metrics, and backlog management.

Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with project team participants and project’s business stakeholders.

Identify issues/problems that have impact beyond the project; resolve issues partnering with teams across projects.

Demonstrate leadership skills, especially in communication (written & verbal), collaboration, people management & influencing skills.

Must Have:

Working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various product owners verbally and in writing.

Strong people and project management skills.

Coaching skills and ability to motivate teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred experience with HR business processes, Workday & other HR applications.

Who you are:

4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.

5+ years of experience working in technical project & program delivery.

Excellent communication skills.

Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced agile-scrum environment.

Owns success – Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of the solutions.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 92,000 USD - 130,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
