Eyre Bus Service is seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our company’s fleet operations. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our vehicles, managing maintenance schedules, and optimizing fleet performance. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a diverse fleet.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of 10 full-time Diesel Mechanics.
Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring they are in compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods or services.
Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fleet management.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of fleet management software systems.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial vehicles.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
