What You Can Expect

As the Renewables, SCADA Engineering Advisor, you will manage all aspects of the renewable project Engineering design and commissioning oversight activities for utility-scale renewables projects (wind, solar, and energy storage) throughout the US and Canada and serve as an innovative subject matter expert and leader. If you enjoy opportunities to work on challenging and detailed projects, while collaborating with various internal departments and external partners on all aspects of a project's lifecycle (development, construction, and operations), this role is for you!

Every day in this role you will lead the development of ENGIE North America generation SCADA specifications, including SCADA, PPC, and EMS architecture to be implemented in new project under development process. Additionally, you will be responsible for the SCADA, PV network engineering design drawings reviews and commissioning planning of renewable energy projects (including Wind, Solar PV, Solar PV, and Energy Storage).

Key Responsibilities:Lead the group as the subject matter experts (SCADA and Controls) and be assigned Project Engineering Manager role for assigned projects. Provide subject matter expert advice in new contracts to include SCADA options for wind, solar and BESS supply agreements.Assist in commissioning of renewable energy projects (PV-ESS), including the ability to perform hands-on commissioning if required.Coordinate the development and oversight of ENGIE Renewable SCADA based in Ignition Perspective and AVEVA Wonderware System Platform Version 2017.Update standards and specifications to account for lessons learned.Coordinate Engineering design efforts with EPC to review and comment on design submittals in coordination with owners engineer support.Evaluate the communication and metering requirements in Interconnection Agreements to be included in the design and scope of work of all renewable projects.Lead the overall project points list review to meet ENGIE Renewables commercial, operations and third-party engineering data requests.Manage, review, and ensure coordination of SCADA points and controls between various systems and stakeholders including: QSE, Utility, RTO/ISO, substation RTU/IED's, revenue/check metering, PV/Wind/BESS PPC/EMS and collection system (inverters/PCS, met stations, trackers etc), internal SCADA/IT network and data aggregation systems.Assist in the implementation of the ENGIE Industrial Control System - Cyber Security framework and support compliance in all the renewable projects.Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors to achieve the highest level of engineering, design, and commissioning for project execution.

What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation and Controls, Electrical is preferred from an ABET-accredited university or comparable field of study, technical knowledge through demonstrated work experience with a solid understanding of Automation & Control, SCADA design for power generation plants, and/or utility systems.Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in similar positions, designing and/or commissioning renewable energy projects and producing standards, specifications, documentation, and in the day-to-day interactions with project development and construction teams.Professional Engineer (PE) License is highly valued. However, we welcome candidates with equivalent experience or other relevant certifications.PMI Certification is highly valued. Additional Details:Occasionally work in high and medium voltage environments (e.g., electrical substations, transformers, energy storage, control rooms, etc.).Occasionally climb wind towers and work in construction dusty areas.Must be available to travel up to 30% of the time with the need for some overnight trips. Travel as needed to support projects in commissioning and team management meetings.Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record, for the use of hire cars or personal cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings.Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.This position consists of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions.This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy.

Compensation:Salary Range:

$112,000 - $172,500 USD annually.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
