As the Landscape Design Associate, it is your responsibility to assist the Landscape Designer in design, estimation, site inventory, and presentations.COMPENSATION:

$60,000-$70,000 per year plus annual bonusESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Design

Develop landscape and planting plans in CADUnderstand irrigation, grading, and drainage concepts/designUnderstand planting design concepts (location, size, evergreen/deciduous balance, appropriate plant for space, perennials, plant combinations, and textures)Produce landscape and hardscape construction details as neededProduce sections and elevations as neededRevise plans as needed and prepare all materials/gather samples for presentationsCompile plant pictures, renderings, product brochures/info, and sketch ups as requiredComplete as-built plans for projectsTrain with all designers on landscape design layout and planting designManagement

Update weekly task list, maintain Outlook calendar, and keep designer updated daily on tasks needing completion to keep scheduleUpdate sales cycle on current proposals to ensure accurate pipeline and update client contact informationMaintain proper project filing managementAssist in city permitting/pulling permitsJob Pack assembly and submittalTrain and support Design InternsVisit job sites on complicated/large projects to better understand and more accurately estimate projectsPerform takeoffs accurately for all landscape materialsUnderstand construction methods and practices and how to properly obtain takeoffs and estimate materials and labor for projectsAssemble accurate proposals following estimating checklist and SOPCreate budgets in ExcelWork with and obtain complete & accurate subcontractor quotesCreate and manage change order processTraining and Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or related field (preferred)Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with approval from fleet insurance carrier (Required)Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and writtenProfessional graphic presentation and rendering skills2+ years of estimation experienceExperience with AutoCAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Land FXLandscape design, construction, and horticulture knowledge
