AGC Acquisition LLC and Gar Kenyon Aerospace and Defense are divisions of the LOAR Group co-located in Meriden, Connecticut. The companies are AS9100D certified, FAA MRO certified, and NADCAP certified for a variety of OEM and MRO operations. The Plant Manager directs the site manufacturing, supply chain, tooling, and maintenance operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving efficiency of manpower, materials, machines, and facility.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute business strategies with annual objective goals to meet financial, customer, process, and organizational targets resulting in the elimination of scrap and rework, with a focus on continuous improvement.Direct all operational activities with a focus on the efficiency of plant operations to ensure that the trained resources and proper processes are in place to deliver best-in-class services and solutions while making strategic make/buy decisions related to the product.Achieve financial sustainability during the manufacture of existing products while championing and communicating the vision and mission for the site that focus and empowers employees to meet and exceed expectations for customers, fellow employees, and senior management.Maintain a work environment that promotes safety on a daily basis, with the ability to work in and lead a Matrix organization in support of the organization's goals.

SkillsEntrepreneurial attitude/self-starter with the ability to champion continuous improvement. Strong technical problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.Ability to work with and provide data-driven recommendations utilizing MRP/ERP systems coupled with technical problem-solving.Understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 procedures and processes to ensure successful audits occur with the ability to quickly address corrective actions when needed.

QualificationsThis position requires a four-year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing organization; a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred.
