65% of fourth graders read below proficiency and are 400% more likely to drop-out of high school. And, for “most at risk” students (students of color, low income, English Language Learners and students with learning disabilities) the problem is even more acute.

Learning Ally seeks to break this cycle. With early student assessment, intervention and accommodation and professional development for educators, Learning Ally can identify and prevent learning issues by working with schools and educators to support new and struggling readers. Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate a diverse portfolio of projects across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for improving the lives of K-12 students struggling with reading. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively prioritize and manage the tech roadmap for our engineering team while also building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Manage project resources, including budget, timeline, and personnel.

Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, developing mitigation plans as needed.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, program managers, and technical teams.

Prioritize and manage the technology roadmap for the engineering team, aligning with organizational goals and resource constraints.

Analyze and synthesize complex information to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Oversee the work of a Business Analyst to ensure operational support and requirements gathering are aligned with project objectives.

Present project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership, effectively communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, or a related field.

Proven track record of successful project management in a fast-paced environment.

5-7 years experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Pivotal Tracker).
