Trinity College’s Austin Arts Center seeks a performing arts Costume Shop Manager to coordinate and execute all areas of costume shop management, including costume construction and shop maintenance, in support of the productions undertaken by Trinity College’s Music and Theater/Dance Departments and Austin Arts Center’s guest artist programming. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Costume Shop Manager oversees all aspects of costume fittings, construction and procurement; equipment and inventory maintenance; and serves as Wardrobe supervisor for each production. The Costume Shop Manager also trains, supervises, and consults students involved in costume design, construction, wardrobe management, and teaches a course in Costume Design/Construction biennially. In addition to collaborating with guest costume designers to bring designs to fruition, the Costume Shop Manager can be contracted for additional design work on individual productions when mutually agreed upon. MFA in costume design discipline (preferred), BA (required) with minimum three years professional experience in costume shop management, design, and construction (or comparable experience).Special Instructions to Applicants:
