Summary of role

In this senior, highly visible role, the Supply Chain Manager of Production Planning plays a pivotal role in overseeing the coordination, execution, and optimization of the production and planning processes within Lantheus' supply chain. Primary responsibility of this role will be to support the production planning processes to support internal manufacturing at our Billerica manufacturing facility. The role will also support/lead the demand planning & SIOP process for the product line being managed. The role will report into AD of supply chain planning and operations.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Demand Forecasting:

Analyzing market trends, historical data, and sales forecasts to predict demand for pharmaceutical products. This involves collaborating with the commercial team, marketing, and other relevant departments to gather accurate information.

Inventory Management:

Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Optimizing inventory levels while considering factors like shelf life, lead times, and production schedules is essential.

Production Planning:

Developing production schedules and plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacities. Coordinating with production teams to ensure timely manufacturing and availability of pharmaceutical products.

Supply Chain Coordination:

Collaborating with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners to maintain an efficient supply chain. Managing relationships with external partners and ensuring timely delivery of materials and products.

Risk Management:

Identifying potential risks in the supply chain such as delays in raw material delivery, regulatory changes, or quality issues. Developing contingency plans to mitigate these risks and maintain continuity in the supply chain.

Process Improvement:

Continuously reviewing and optimizing supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. Implementing new technologies or methodologies to streamline operations.

Compliance and Regulation:

Ensuring that all activities adhere to regulatory requirements and quality standards imposed by regulatory bodies like the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) or other relevant agencies. This involves maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management. A master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain planning/production planning in a pharmaceutical or biotech space or other regulated industry. Consulting experience a plus.Strong understanding of supply chain management and planning principles - APICS certification preferred.Ability to analyze complex data, forecast demand, and make data-driven decisions to optimize production and planning processes.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Proficiency in using and managing an ERP system - SAP proficiency strongly preferred.Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

Other Requirements:

Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of accuracy.Willing to roll up sleeves and support where needed.
