Our modern fleet and diverse expertise allow us to tackle complex projects while living out our values every day.Position SummaryThe Senior Project Manager/Estimator’s primary duty is to finalize bids and secure projects. Once projects are awarded, this role provides overall management direction from start to finish.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinalize client and public entity estimates and proposals.Seek/completed bid opportunities through client relationships and public/private postings.Prepare full estimates on large complex work.Provide overall management direction to multiple projects.Obtain necessary permits and licensing.Manage costs by tracking labor and materials.Manage billing with Project Coordinators.Communicate with staff to meet all EEO/DBE project requirements.Ensure project completion safely, on/under budget, and in the appropriate time frame.Troubleshoot project issues.Seek approval for project change orders.Coordinate efforts with project owner/general contractor.Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's degree; 10 years of estimating and managing complex foundation projects.Good communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to work with mathematical concepts.Ability to read and analyze policies, reports, and legal documents.Knowledge of Bidding and Project Management software, Microsoft Office suite.Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.Ability to develop and nurture lasting client relationships.Ability to maintain compliance with all Veit policies and procedures.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of Viewpoint Vista and HCSS construction software.Prefer 15 years’ experience managing foundations projects ranging from $500K - $10M.OtherValid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.15% local travel; occasional overnight stays may be required.This position allows for remote/hybrid work 2 days per week.Position will convert to office-based when new offices open in Q3 2023.Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
