Description:Join our client's Accredited Testing and Evaluation (AT&E, Common Criteria/FIPS) team and embark on an exciting opportunity in the growing IT Security field supporting National defense. You will work with products deployed into larger systems to facilitate secure communications for our military in the modern cyber warfare environment. Be part of an expanding industry integral to ensuring our National Security. Learn from industry experts, work with various Commercial off the Shelf products across many technology types, and apply your skillset in a hands-on lab environment.This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $63 - $73 / hr. w2Responsibilities:Conduct security evaluations and testing of IT productsDevelop and maintain testing environmentsApply security standards to products and ensure compliancePerform vulnerability analysis and penetration testingDocument and report testing resultsCollaborate with team members and industry expertsStay updated with the latest security trends and technologiesExperience Requirements:Key Technical Skills:Knowledge of FIPS 140 requirementsKnowledge of cryptographic encryption algorithms, key exchange algorithms, hashing/message authentication algorithms, PKI, random number generators, etc.Experience with various programming languages (C, C++, Python, or Java) and development environmentsAbility to comprehend security standard requirements and apply them to productsKnowledge of common security-related protocols and their design (i.e., SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc.)Experience building testing environments, performing testing, and reporting results (technical writing)CVP Certified TesterSoft Skills:Strong communication skillsEffective teamwork and collaborationExcellent problem-solving abilitiesStrong multitasking and time management skillsAttention to detailAdaptability and flexibilityAdditional Requirements:Experience with VHDL and Verilog languagesExperience with debugging tools (GDB, WinDBG, Visual Studio, etc.)Experience with statistical analysis of entropy sourcesKnowledge of OpenSSL and/or OpenPGPVulnerability analysis and/or penetration testing expertiseStrong knowledge of computer security principles and best practicesRelated certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE)Knowledge of Active Directory and LinuxHands-on experience using tools such as an oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, signal generator, etc.Knowledge of X.509 certificates and their attributes, as well as protocols such as CDP and OCSPExperience setting up networks and familiarity with subnets and routingEducation Requirements:BS degree in a relevant field4 - 8 years of prior relevant experienceCVP Certified Tester
