The Range Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and planning of all training use and range utilization for Sacramento Gun Range (SGR). The operational tempo of SGR’s ranges are critical due to the very busy training schedule as well as the various social events SGR hosts. Coordinating, scheduling and managing all training and range activities is a critical position within SGR.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of customer service or business operations experience as well as at least 1 year of management experience. Firearms experience is not required, but certainly welcome. Women are always encouraged to apply for any position within SGR.
Compensation:
The Range Operations Manager is a salary position with a starting salary between $45,000 and $55,000 based on qualification. This position also pays a quarterly bonus based on success within the position. Starting Wage based on background and qualifications. For one location only.

Sacramento Gun Range’s Indoor Range is one of the country’s premier indoor shooting ranges and the largest indoor range on the West Coast. At 38,000+ square feet, 34 lanes and five separate ranges – 25 and 50 Yards- Sacramento Gun Range is the third largest indoor gun range in the nation. SGR trains more than 5,000 students a year providing access to our facility for their training needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct general maintenance and repair on all areas of the facility; including, but not limited to: flooring, wall patch, painting, plumbing, lighting, ceiling, tile, door, window, forklift duties, clean up as directed, etc.
Conduct general maintenance and repair on all areas of the range including the traps, carrier systems, rails, lights, baffles and other support structures.
Preventative maintenance around building.
Troubleshooting and repair.
Organize and direct small projects and minor build outs not requiring the services of a general contractor.
Repair of small to medium equipment and systems.
Installation of small equipment and systems.
Assist with HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
Small electrical jobs and troubleshooting.
Small plumbing repair and troubleshooting.
On-site escort of contractors and vendors.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1-3 years’ general maintenance experience required.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Writing and communication skills.
Computer literate.
General carpentry, electrical, plumbing and flooring skills.
Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
Knowledgeable of federal and state regulations such as OSHA is very desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties the employee is constantly required to reach computers and other office equipment.
Constantly required to view objects at close and distant ranges.
Constantly required to communicate with others.
Constantly required to stand.
Constantly required to walk.
Constantly required to use fine manipulation and simple grasping.
Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The work environment is fast-paced and demanding.
