Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of “Maintenance Supervisor”.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor plans, estimates, schedules, oversees, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance of plant equipment, machinery, and systems to increase uptime and minimize unscheduled downtime. This position supervises the maintenance staff.
Responsibilities:
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing and/or overseeing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repair on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and machinery.
Responsible for equipment within the manufacturing plant being in good operational condition at all times.
Complete or oversee building maintenance and repairs for company facilities.
Prioritize repair needs that occur during the production shift and work day.
Fabricate or oversee fabrication of necessary repair parts by using Maintenance Shop and equipment.
Manage the team of Maintenance Technicians. Oversee hiring and training; provide performance feedback and assign duties to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Maintenance Department.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level. Anticipate needed stock and place and expedite orders; verify receipt and distribute.
Schedule and coordinate internal Work Orders.
Collaborate with management to develop and ensure adherence to annual budgets for the Maintenance Department.
Maintain a clean, safe, and injury-free environment by ensuring safety, fire, and risk procedures are understood and executed by all maintenance employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years’ experience in Maintenance within a manufacturing environment, including experience in equipment and electrical maintenance. Previous supervisory experience required. Electrical and PLC knowledge preferred. Experience with Lean principles and techniques preferred.
