Job Summary:

The eCommerce Product Manager position is critical to the success of Trane’s Residential and Supply - Digital business. You will be responsible for setting the long-term, market-based strategic vision for the eCommerce Product offering. You will work directly with customers and with other stakeholders in our organization to define the product vision and ensure it aligns with company goals, and then work closely with the agile Product Owner to ensure the features match the vision. You will define KPIs to represent your product’s success and help drive and present these to the business.The eCommerce Product Manager should have a good understanding of the industry, customers, and the current competitive landscape. You will be responsible for driving the commercialization of the product, and for presenting at conferences or sales events when needed to drive awareness and adoption of the product.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

What you will do:

Create and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap

Responsible for the product value proposition and ensuring ROI meets targets

When required, create content and lead presentations for gate process ceremonies

Define and communicate metrics to validate product success

Provide updates, information and demos of product features and progress against timelines to stakeholders including business leadership and external partners/vendors

Conduct or facilitate voice of customer activities to identify business, customer, and user needs based on stakeholder interviews, focus groups, “day-in-the-life” studies, and advisory panels

Conducts competitive analysis studies as input to the strategy and vision

Effectively collaborates with business unit stakeholders to coordinate and align vision and strategy

Responsible for driving commercialization and go-to-market strategy for the product

Work hand-in-hand with the agile Product Owner to ensure product features meet the strategic directives

Communicate with internal and external customers on a regular basis to understand and represent their needs when defining product direction

Present at partner conferences, sales training and other events to evangelize the product to customers and internal associates

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree science, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields

2+ years of experience in an eCommerce product management and/or product owner role

Demonstrated success leading a digital product to successful launch

Excellent presentation skills, demonstrated ability to communicate product vision to leadership and product team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to quickly adapt to change and navigate ambiguous problem spaces

Self-starter and ability to work with little instructions and collaborate with diverse teams

Preferred:

Masters degree or higher identified or applicable field

5+ years of experience in a product management role of software-based solutions

Knowledge of/experience in HVAC system domain

Experience working within an entrepreneurial environment; potentially with a startup or consultant agency with agile practice

Experience working within a greenfield software development environment

Strong familiarity with product management principles. Strategic thinker.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $140,000 - $190,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
