Job Purpose:

The Assistant Director for Admissions Operations is responsible for day-to-day operations related to Admissions systems and processing. This position assists the Director of Admissions Operations with managing the Slate CRM and has a specific responsibility related to Admissions processes across all programs, both undergraduate and graduate. The Assistant Director ensures data integrity and validation for student records, manages Admissions-related Slate functions, and serves as Tier 1 support for Admissions-related Slate questions. An important part of the position is supporting the ministry and mission of the University and advancing the academic excellence and spiritual vitality of our University and students. Each employee plays an important role in the development of the Christian faith in our students.

Essential Functions:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the admissions process, including supervising a team of processing and quality assurance team members.

Maintain data integrity and validation for all admissions files, applications, and decisions.

Develop and maintain knowledge of Slate functionality and how Slate interacts with other University systems, including the Student Information System (SIS).

In coordination with the Director of Admissions Operations, manage Admissions-related systems and develop, maintain, and test workflows, automations/rules, dashboards, portals, data imports/exports, and other systems and functions.

Manage Admissions applications within Slate and the Common App, including annual updates, ensuring collection of accurate and complete data, and streamlining the application process and user experience for prospective students.

Identify opportunities for process streamlining and user experience improvement across all programs, and implement improvements as appropriate.

Serve as Tier 1 support for Admissions-related CRM questions and support requests, including collecting necessary details, triaging requests, and troubleshooting.

Oversee the creation of queries, reports, and other tools to assist Admissions staff.

Create, update, and maintain documentation and assist the Director of Admissions Operations in training staff on effective use of Slate and Admissions processes.

Perform other duties and assist with other projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time on-site position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Potential exists to work some evenings and weekends.

Travel:

Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.

Experience in admissions/enrollment and operations/data management.

Experience with the Slate CRM and Configurable Joins.

Ability to handle highly confidential information and complete detail-oriented assignments that require quick turnaround.

Ability to problem-solve and deliver solutions that are strategic, analytical, creative, and improve the user experience.

Must possess very strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Must like working with people and have a high degree of self-motivation.

Must be able to present a positive and accurate representation of Asbury University and the Admissions Operations team.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or SQL is preferred.

Experience with Anthology Student SIS is preferred.
